Fendant is the Valais name given to wines produced from the Chasselas grape variety. It can develop its marvellous and elegant qualities in the Sierre region with its preferred limestone and stony soils on which grows particularly well.
Tasting notes
Light colour with brilliant hues oscillating between yellow and pale green. The nose consisting of the lime-blossom hint with a light touch of honey and a mineral content typical of this grape variety. On the tongue, it is fresh and fruity and it has a gentle mellow finish.
Food-wine pairing
Perfect aperitif wine, to enjoy with fish, or with cheese dishes such raclette and fondue.
