The Syrah is a typical grape variety of the Rhone valley which enjoys the soil and the climatic conditions of the Canton of Valais. As a late-ripening variety, it needs to be planted in very sunny expositions, first-class slopes or hillsides. The yield needs to be controlled vigorously. 

Tasting notes
Deep dark red wine with dark reflections. Heady scents of wild cherries and chocolate are perceptible in the nose. On the palate, it is smooth and powerful with a taste that lingers on beautifully. The peppery finish is typical of this grape variety.
