Dôle AOC Valais
The first bottles of this exclusively Valaisan red blend, the Dôle, were presented at the Bern Agricultural Fair in 1857.
Tasting notes
Raspberry red colour, In the typical Valaisan Dôle wine, the Pinot Noir and Gamay grape varieties are harmoniously blended together. The nose reveals fragrances of small red fruits typical of the Gamay. The structure and finesse of the Pinot Noir counterbalances them wonderfully giving this Dôle a refreshing acidity.
Food-wine pairing
Great with braised flank of veal, stuffed veal breast, battered veal escalopes, fondue bourguignonne, roast chicken, rabbit in mustard sauce, breast of duck, beef fillet and cheese platters.
