Dôle Coteaux de Sierre AOC Valais
The Dole is a typically Valaisan wine resulting from a harmonious blend of Pinot, Gamay and other Valaisan red grape specialities. The Pinot dominates, giving it body and nobility. The Gamay on the other hand gives it a fruity and vivid taste. (cette partie qui éxistait déjà en anglais n'existe pas dans le texte français)
Tasting notes
Strong raspberry colour. Notes of cherries and prunes dominate this wine. The freshness of the Gamay grape goes along perfectly with the full-bodied power of the Pinot Noir. The assembly is well-balanced, sophisticated and has a pleasant acidity.
Food-wine pairing
Perfect with poultry and red meat, especially beef. It is also much appreciated with soft cheeses.
