The Cornalin is a typically Valaisan wine which requires the sunniest exposures due to its late ripening (3rd period) and has been cultivated for centuries.
Tasting notes
Very dense dark red colour with purple hues. Fragrances of undergrowth delicately mingle with scents of hazelnuts and walnuts. The attack on the palate is supple and franc, the gentle and velvety tannins form a harmonious part of the structure of this wine. A wine of great aromatic expression.
Food-wine pairing
Fits air-dried meats (Valaisan platter), quail, pigeon, venison terrines, wildfowl, roasts and semi-hard cheeses.
