Johannisberg AOC Valais
Johannisberg has been cultivated in Valais since 1870. 1st phase grape variety with early maturity.
Tasting notes
The fruity notes of pear and white fruit combined with roasted almonds which make up the characteristics of the Silvaner grape variety can be detected straight from the outset. On the palate, it is full-bodied, smooth, rich and with a flavour of bitter almonds. Well-balanced, refined and powerful wine reflecting the mineral soil.
Food-wine pairing
Excellent as aperitif, ideal with asparagus, roasted or grilled fresh water fish, air-dried meats, sauerkraut, chicken breast, fish with sauce, semi-hard cheeses and sheatfish cooked in water.
