Grains Nobles, Assemblage surmaturé AOC Valais
This blend of overripe grapes grown on root stumps is picked late (usually in December) in order to obtain a sugar content of 150° Oechsle (that is 350 grams of sugar per litre of grape must). The Valaisan climate allows Marsanne, Pinot Gris and Petite Arvine sweet wines to be placed among the best in the world. The "Grain Noble ConfidenCiel" charter guarantees the continuation, the authenticity and the exceptional quality of this blended wine.
Tasting notes
Dense yellow colour with golden reflections. Perfumes of strawberry eau de vie, white truffle, quince and candied fruit. On the palate, the aromas perceived on the nose are strongly enhanced, giving the wine a magnificent complexity. A full-bodied, smooth and warm wine with an excellent alcohol-acid balance. Undoubtedly a wine to be kept.
Food-wine pairing
Ideal with foie gras - fried or as a terrine. It is an excellent dessert wine, combining well with fruit pies and can also be enjoyed with blue cheeses.
