ESSENTIAL INFORMATION
Petite Arvine Château Lichten AOC Valais
Petite Arvine is an authentically indigenous and exclusive varietal. It produces one of the most sumptuous white wines in Europe; full-bodied, highly distinctive, it also boasts remarkable balance. Two of Rouvinez's estates are planted with Petite Arvine. They are located at opposite ends of our wine-producing canton and have very different geologies. This offers a unique opportunity to compare the same grape variety from two very different terroirs, all while being worked and vinified by the same team. (Château Lichten and Domaine des Seilles).
Tasting notes
Pale yellow with slight green reflections, reminiscent of berry color; aromas of lime, pink grapefruit, and rhubarb. A pronounced but not aggressive acidity gives it liveliness and freshness. It is a dry, fruity, remarkably balanced wine with a slightly salty taste on the finish and a long persistence of aromas.
Food pairings
Excellent with oysters, crustaceans and shellfish, sea fish, fish terrines, and creamy poultry dishes.
Silver Medal
Awarded vintage: 2022; supplied while stocks last. The medal is not automatically present on the bottle.
