Chardonnay PDO Valais
Introduced in Valais by passionate Burgundy winemakers at the beginning of the 20th century. An early-ripening grape variety.
Tasting Notes
Intense fruitiness of fresh pears, lime, and grapefruit, very typical of the grape variety with a hint of hazelnut. On the palate, the attack is fresh and lively, with the citrus fragrances noted on the nose. It is a round, powerful, and long wine with a magnificent balance.
Food Pairings
Aperitif wine, smoked meats and fish, fish terrine, fish in sauce and marinade (turbot with mousseline sauce), scallops, shellfish, oysters, free-range chicken.
