Petite Arvine is an authentically indigenous and exclusive grape. It provides one of the most sumptuous white wines produced in Europe; full-bodied and highly distinctive, it also offers exceptional balance. Petite Arvine is planted on two of the Rouvinez's vineyards. They are located on opposite sides of the winegrowing areas and therefore offer very different geological traits. This provides a unique opportunity to compare the same grape variety produced on two very different terroirs (Domaine de Château Lichten and Domaine de Les Seilles) but grown, produced and vinified by the same team
Tasting notes
Pale yellow colour with light green reflections, resembling the colour of the berries. Perfume of lime, pink grapefruit and rhubarb. It has a marked but not aggressive acidity, giving it a lively and fresh taste. This is a dry, fruity, remarkably balanced wine with its slightly salty flavour on the finish and a long persistence of the flavours in the mouth.
Food-wine pairing
Excellent with oysters, crustaceans and mussels, fish terrines and poultry in cream.
