ESSENTIAL INFORMATION
Merlot Clos St-Marcel AOC Valais
Merlot Clos St-Marcel - Certified organic wine
The origin of Merlot remains uncertain, however, it is generally accepted that it primarily originated in the Bordeaux region. It is used in the blending of the great Bordeaux châteaux. It thrives mainly in cool soils that retain sufficient moisture during the summer. Merlot Clos St-Marcel is planted on the left bank of the Rhône, near Grône (Sierre), where it has found ideal climatic conditions.
Tasting notes

Food pairings
Wonderful accompaniment to meats in sauce (coq au vin, braised) or beef fillet en croûte. Also pairs well with game terrine, quail, or roasted partridge. Can also be enjoyed with a Valais platter or a cheese board.
