Gamay Les Fleurs AOC Valais
Gamay originated in Beaujolais. Like other generous grape varieties, it only expresses its qualities when its production is severely limited. It also needs a schistous or granitic subsoil to develop its pleasant, slightly peppery fruity aromas.
Tasting notes
With a beautiful raspberry-red color, this Gamay immediately offers smoky and spicy notes on the nose. With good body, it is full-bodied and concentrated. Its discreet fruity flavors, dominated by spicy aromas, and its marked tannic structure make it a very pleasant and easy-drinking wine.
Food pairings
Perfect with subtly flavored meats, especially poultry and veal; it is also enjoyed with poached or steamed fish.
