ESSENTIAL INFORMATION
Heida Les Fleurs AOC Valais
Heida Les Fleurs - Certified organic wine
Heida and Païen are the Valaisan names for Savagnin, the grape variety notably used in the famous "vin jaune" from Jura. This variety from the Traminer family has been present in Valais since time immemorial. It produces a white wine with character, lively, fruity, and with excellent hold. The 2.2 hectares of the La Leyraz estate in Saxon have been dedicated to it.
Tasting Notes
Beautiful yellow color with greenish reflections; aromas evoking citrus fruits, exotic fruits, or even bergamot tea. The palate is well-structured with a very pleasant liveliness; one can detect fermentative flavors linked to its youth and aging on lees, which nonetheless confer a great deal of roundness and warmth. With time, a hint of toasted hazelnut; a robust wine that easily supports long aging.
Food Pairings
Accompanies fish, crustaceans, seafood, but also alpine cheeses. Can also be enjoyed with traditional Valaisan dishes: Valaisan plate or Raclette.
Gold Medal
Award-winning vintage: 2022; delivered subject to available stock. The medal is not automatically present on the bottle.
