ESSENTIAL INFORMATION
Syrah AOC Valais
Originally from the Rhône Valley in France, Syrah was introduced to Valais in 1926. It is a late-ripening grape variety. (3rd era)
Tasting notes
Deep red color with purple reflections. On the nose, it exudes fruity aromas of blackcurrant and blackberry, enveloped in a hint of black pepper and clove. The attack is frank and round. A gourmet, lively, fresh, and generous wine with a beautiful persistence.
Food pairings
Haired and feathered game, roasted meats with strong seasoning, turkey stuffed with chestnuts, semi-washed, semi-flowered soft cheeses, washed-rind soft cheeses, and semi-hard cheeses.
