Malvoisie is the name given to a generous, full-bodied wine which is elaborated from Pinot Gris. This grape regularly reaches 120° Oechsle when left to reach full maturity. It produces a sumptuous wine fit for keeping.
Tasting notes
Golden yellow colour. The nose is festival of fruity notes with fragrances of beeswax, ripe apricot, quince and slightly candied fruit. The attack is soft, the acidity blends in well with the sugar. A full-bodied, smooth and warm wine.
Food-wine pairing
Perfect with goose foie gras, liver terrines or slices of duck foie gras. Also well suited to strawberry and raspberry deserts, tarts and other tasty sweets.
